The DU-BRO Hatch Latch is a simple, lightweight, and reliable solution for securing hatches, doors, access panels, and removable covers on RC airplanes, boats, cars, and other hobby projects. Designed with a low-profile shape and a smooth spring-action lock, it provides a clean, flush fit that keeps your model looking neat while holding panels firmly in place during use.
At approximately 1 inch (25.4 mm) long and 3/8 inch (9.525 mm) wide, the Hatch Latch is compact enough for small models yet strong enough for larger aircraft. The locking mechanism uses a small internal spring that snaps securely into place, ensuring the hatch stays closed during flight, landing, or transport. When you need access, simply pull the latch to release the panel—no tools required.
Installation is quick and easy. The latch is secured using CA (cyanoacrylate) glue, making it simple to attach to balsa, plywood, foam, and many composite surfaces. Once installed, it can be painted to match your model’s color scheme or camouflaged into scale details.
Weighing only 0.75 grams, the Hatch Latch adds virtually no weight to your aircraft or project, making it ideal for electric models, gliders, and other lightweight builds where every gram matters.
